Trombetta - Bear Family: 12 Volt DC Contactor; (2) non-grounded 10-32 studs, & (2) 5/16-24 contact studs; continuous duty; silver alloy contacts, flat-bracket (114-1211-020) From the Bear DC Contactor Family, the 114-1211-020 earned the name the "Bear" because of its strong construction and high current carrying capability. While it is large in size, the Bear provides an economical solution to high current switching applications.

The 114-1211-020 is equivalent to Camdec 18226-WR. Additional information:Trombetta builds a similar model, the 114-1211-010, that has copper contacts. This model is NOT designed for connecting batteries for charging. MurCal does not sell it.
RV manufacturers typically want to keep their costs low, however, Winnebago chose not to upgrade to the 114-1211-020 and asked Trombetta to modify the housing:

They drilled 4 holes in the top of the housing to let moisture out of the housing. The 4 holes also allows moisture into the housing too.
We recommend stating silver alloy contacts, they are more robust than copper contacts and they will last longer.

This hardware kit from Trombetta is a "must have" if you are exposing your DC contactors to the elements. The rubber boots help to protect the connection terminals from dust and moisture. |
